my pop...

my father is in the hospital for first time since i can remember...
he's the desendant of the "old timers" who only speaks up when we need to look or when we need to look up to someone who does. the one who had only one marriage and commited to it everyday. the shadow that chased me, and yet stood before me and strained by the sun. i know now why i hate the current that stands before me, because it will never be as strong as he.

my father made me work hard, think hard, and question...
then laugh at the nonsense that will always lay before me. my father is that guy you hated cuz he was better then you, but still is in the trenches with you. gritting the same bared teeth, cursing the battle, but never letting us be weak. always pushing with just sighs and laughs alone.

today he was left in a gurny.
left alone for hours because the system didn't know what to do with him.
he took tests for the last 2 weeks
he went to the schedules they assigned and was welcomed by "sir, were not open today"
he's had weeks of "well we don't don't know, but here's what we say" vs. what the prescriptions said on the very bottles he was "supposed" to wholey consume
today he awoke from a lite, sleep (yet still hiding his consciousness) and overheard the nurses and orderlies say "he's been there for a while..."

i haven't brought up this point up in 21 years...
but my father can still kick your father's ass, and still bring the eighteen pack, the smokes, have pride in his sons (and grandsons), and still make you know what real laughter feels like...

a declaration...
my father is a goddamn badass...and he's gonna make some doctor cry tonite...ha

love pop

kellogs, and why we should boycott tthem...

war on culture...again...

"Cereal and snack maker Kellogg Co. says it will not renew its sponsorship contract with Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps because he has acknowledged smoking marijuana last fall.

The Battle Creek, Mich.-based company said Thursday that Phelps's behavior — caught on camera and published Sunday — is "not consistent with the image of Kellogg.''"

now i don't do drugs anymore (can't afford them no mo') but seeing this nonsense paraded out in front of us intended to spark "faux" outrange, and indignation is mindblowing...
i drink, and i smoke, and it's much worse for me then pot. why is this an issue? caffine is a drug, nicotine, and the food that i can afford is much more damning then marijuana.

and i know why marijuana is illegal (cuz big pharma is our friend...) but this is becoming reeeee-diculous. policing morality is mankind's, government's, america's, communities, etc...biggest failure. the biggest mis-shapened slight of hand routine that has had the same performane level as that of a 6th grader performing magic tricks on american idol. it doesn't make sense...

and (at this point i was gonna make fun of the ridiculous nature of humanitie's/ hannity's devoeties, but then i realised that i only have beefs with the fanatics...)
but i'm a wee bit tired, enjoy the economic meltdown with mister boehner...and how do you get "bay-ner"...

ok i got to go to sleep, but please stop this was on culture...

and all the bikini models who followed them...

i haven't drawn to much in the last few years but it took me only 6 pages to design something thats never been done before...
remember i've only been in the game for about a year and a half (published 2x internationally bitches...) and i just designed something original in my downtime...
sorry to all those photogs who have "20 years of experience and...blah blah blah..." and all the bikini models who followed them...

the last stargate atlantis tonite...no more good US sci-fi...

and yes i know it's filmed in canada, but it's such a shame that the sci-fi channel would rather show wrestling and a show about guys running around in the dark looking for ghosts (mind you they never find shit, yet the show has been on for years...)and a weekly t.v. show being cancelled isn't the end of the world and it's really not as important as some of the huge problems facing the country and the world before us, but it kinda matters to me.if you like any of my art work it's all because of old sci-fi movies and shows, books and comic books. as a kid i used to sit up all night watching aliens, blade runner, the thing, they live, robot jox, dollman, and t.v. shows like brisco county jr, star trek TNG, m.a.n.t.i.s., babylon 5, friday the 13th the series, the outerlimits and so many other weird and awkward programs, yet creative and inspired me when i was younger and gave me a different view of the world and gave me strength to imagine. also it made feel a little less like a weirdo or freak in school and in life thereafter (and i was/ am a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuger weirdo...)but as an adult i still fly my weirdo flag, but it's getting harder and harder since all new programs have to be cool and edgy, but not really creative. look at heroes and battlestar, flash gordon and eureka. all had potential, but just totally flopped hard!!! and basically stargate atlantis was the last good geek outlet, and tonite is the last episode...and i know they're still gonna make dvds like sg-1 (continuim totally rocked!!!, ark of truth not so much) but it's just not the same. watching a show develop and grow a story over 24 episodes, from week to week is something special if done right in respect to story and to the viewers watching.so yeah that's my lament for today. watch it if you can and also boycott the sci-fi channel please...thanx for reading...::w::
